I’ve had the pleasure of working with Mohsen on the Class Actions Section Executive for years, and I heartily endorse his candidacy for Second Vice President. He is the kind of leader the OBA in particular benefits from: someone with closely held principles and a clear vision, but that can disagree – even strenuously – without being disagreeable. We were often on opposite sides of issues before the OBA, but his approach to collaboration and collegiality made it easy to come to a negotiated resolution. Even where he was compelled to draw lines in the sand, our conversations were unerringly productive and cooperative, and he was able to deal with irreconcilable positions without jeopardizing a mutual respect. Particularly in this new age of threats to judicial independence and the rule of law, I can think of few better qualified candidates than Mohsen, who has thrown himself into the business of the OBA from his first day, and who has never shied away from zealous, respectful advocacy in the face of political headwinds, for the people the profession is intended to serve.

I'm excited to support Mo Seddigh for 2nd Vice-President of the OBA. His commitment to the profession and long track record of advancing the interests of OBA members make him the obvious choice - Let's go Mo!

As co-counsel on class actions seeking justice for vulnerable Canadians, I've seen firsthand Mohsen Seddigh's unwavering commitment to advancing justice. It is my pleasure to express my strong support for Mohsen Seddigh's candidacy for 2nd Vice-President of the Ontario Bar Association. Mohsen is an accomplished lawyer whose integrity, dedication, and exceptional leadership exemplifies the highest standards of our profession. I have had the privilege of working with Mohsen for many years in his role as co-counsel in the First Nations Child and Family Services, Jordan's Principle, and Trout Class Action Settlement. This was a historic legal proceeding brought on behalf of First Nations children who were unnecessarily removed from their families and placed into state care, as well as those who were denied or delayed access to essential services under Jordan's Principle. Mohsen played a central role in ensuring the success of this complex and sensitive $23 billion settlement.

Mohsen is thoughtful, collaborative, and always willing to listen and engage with colleagues in a meaningful way. His leadership style reflects integrity and inclusivity, qualities I believe are vital for this role. Mohsen will bring energy, dedication, and a strong sense of purpose to the OBA executive.
